Thirty years in business and counting!  Who knew???  Thank you to All Around Pennsauken and AAP editor Frank Sinatra for a great article on our start, our work, and where we’re headed. Read the entire article here.

It all started with some Victorian wood screen doors...

When the new construction market in the 1980s began to fizzle out, Pennsauken native Rick Tamburo went looking for the next home trend. He found it in the Victorian revival, dabbling in bracket and porch restoration. But it was his work customizing Victorian wood screen doors that drew demand from customers, turning a hunch into Victoriana East, a Pennsauken-based business that’s reached the 30 year mark. Over the years, demand has been steady, and the products and services Victoriana East provides – including design, reproduction, installation of wood screen doors, storm doors, windows and a full line of quality vintage products – have been recession proof.

Victoriana East is located 3011 Centre St., Pennsauken – although truth be told, a small portion of the store actually resides in Merchantville. When customers do stop in, they’ll first be met by the store’s four-legged “greeter,” Jake, Rick’s friendly black lab. They’ll also find an eclectic, hip showroom, displaying product, antiques, knick knacks, and more. And you can’t help but notice the guitars, drum kit, and other musical equipment.  If you’re lucky you may find an art showing or concert underway in the showroom!

Rick, who clearly loves both the work he does and the community he lives in, looks forward to many more years in Pennsauken.  “When I first started, I didn’t know how long the run was going to last. But it’s been consistent the whole time. The Victorian revival is still going strong.”

This is where Victoriana East was hatched in 1986 - Pennsauken's 2nd Fire Department Delaware Gardens. We're still going strong in Pennsauken, but now on Centre St.
A very handsome portrait of our charming Head Greeter, Jake.
Even when we're not working at the shop, we're having fun!
